Frequently Asked Questions

How do I disconnect my Strava account from Retava?

If you wish to stop Retava from accessing your Strava data, you can revoke access directly from your Strava account settings.

Step-by-step instructions:

  1. Log in to your Strava account on a web browser.
  2. Go to Settings (hover over your profile picture in the top right).
  3. Click on My Apps in the left-hand menu.
  4. Find Retava in the list of authorized applications.
  5. Click the Revoke Access button next to Retava.

Note: Once access is revoked, Retava will no longer be able to sync your activities or reward you for your achievements until you reconnect your account.

How does Retava work?

Retava connects your Strava account and tracks your activities. When you reach a distance, elevation, or sport-specific goal set by a merchant, you automatically unlock a unique coupon code. No manual verification — Strava data does the work.

Is Retava free for athletes?

Yes. Retava is 100% free for athletes. There are no fees, subscriptions, or hidden costs. You connect your Strava, train, and earn coupon codes from sports brands — entirely free.

Which sports and activities count toward rewards?

It depends on the merchant's campaign. Merchants can target specific Strava activity types — running, cycling, swimming, hiking, triathlon, and more. Each coupon page shows which sports qualify. All activities must be recorded via Strava to count.

How does Retava work for merchants?

Merchants create a Retava account, set up a coupon campaign with a Strava-based performance goal (e.g. run 50 km this month), and define the discount. Retava automatically verifies athletes' activity data and issues coupon codes only when goals are genuinely reached. Plans start from $99/month.

What Strava data does Retava access?

Retava requests read-only access to your Strava activities — specifically activity type, distance, elevation, and date. We do not access your location maps, heart rate data, or personal contacts. You can revoke access at any time from your Strava settings.
